Director Makro Hands Over Relief Goods to Army (2010)
Lahore: Director Commercial Makro Habib Pakistan Limited Hamid Hussain handed over five trucks, loaded with relief goods for the flood victims to the Pak Army. A ceremony in this regard took place at Makro Model Town Store Lahore where Brig. Shafi Ghazi received the relief goods’ consignment on behalf of Pak Army, which would be dispatched to flood stricken areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP). The 80-tons relief goods include blankets, plates, glasses, coolers, bottled water of different companies, and ghee.
Hamid Hussain while talking to media said that Makro would continue to contribute in the future for this noble cause. “We are committed to help flood victims who have been hit by the devastating floods in the country. To undo the damages it’s our utmost responsibility to help our brethren in this hour of need and contribute generously”, he added. The House of Habib has been playing its role in rehabilitation activities in Muzaffargarh. He also appreciated the Makro’s employees who donated one- month salaries for the purpose
